The tree pangolin (Phataginus tricuspis) from central and Western Africa is the cousin of the ground pangolin found here in South African. Ironically the animal behind our lock-down, as it is supposed to be the last animal carrier of the covid 19 virus before it jumped to humans. Not to be blamed in any way - it is us who are at fault. (These animals are on the endangered list, as they are highly prized by the ‘East’ for their keratin scales.)

This is a must have for any sculpture collection.
