I have always been fascinated by the visual power of the game. polo ponies thundering down the field, mallets ready to strike. So after my horse, I decided to venture into this world of equestrian sport, starting with a maquette of what is intended to be a much larger piece - life-sized or even double life-sized.

The detail needed is pretty fine, and there I am trying to move away from detail and be free-er. However it has been really interesting getting as close to authenticity as the medium will allow.

This is the second in the series, the first being sold to a South African polo player of distinction!
